There are lots of different ways in which you can volunteer!
Safer Neighbourhood Panels – Panels are made up of local residents, local councillors, the local policing commander and magistrates. The panels influence local policing and community safety, scrutinise the work done by police in the area, give feedback to their community and check the impact of community resolutions and restorative justice where they live.
Ethics, Transparency and Audit Panel (ETAP) – The ETAP is made up of members of the public, who test the accuracy of crime recording, examines the response of police to incidents and analyses the way they handle complaints about policing.
Independent Custody Visitors – Independent Custody Visitors (ICVs) check on the wellbeing of people being held in custody by the police.
Neighbourhood Watch – Residents working together to protect their homes, businesses and communities is what Neighbourhood Watch is all about. It operates as a result of members reporting suspicious people and incidents to the police and provides practical steps for householders to tackle problems through crime prevention measures and greater vigilance.
Staffordshire Police Specials – Those who give their time to be members of the Staffordshire Police Special Constabulary are incredible people who play a key role in keeping our communities safe.
Staffordshire Police Volunteer Programme – The Staffordshire Police Volunteer Programme enables members of the local community to actively engage with their local policing teams and support Staffordshire Police officers in keeping communities safe and reassured.
