Do you want to help the community where you live, work or study by getting involved in running a small but influential and important charity?
Do you have accountancy experience or related skills that you feel you can put to good use in advising our trustee board on the financial health of our service?
South Staffordshire Citizens Advice is a local charity based in Wombourne. They provide free, impartial and confidential advice to help people in need with the problems they face including debt, benefits, relationship breakdown, employment, housing and consumer issues.
They are seeking a treasurer who is keen to help manage and develop this much-valued service for people in need across the South Staffordshire District.
Responsibilities include monitoring income and expenditure, presentation of the management accounts at quarterly board meetings and advising on the corrective action that may be required when difficulties arise. The post of treasurer is voluntary but all reasonable expenses incurred are reimbursed.
Joining the happy volunteer team here at Citizens Advice will provide you with a great deal of satisfaction, new experiences, training opportunities, friendships and a wider social network.
