The following is a message from the South Staffordshire and Stafford Building Better Opportunities Programme:
Business Enterprise Support Staffordshire Ltd has been appointed the lead provider to deliver the £2.3m Lottery and European Social Fund Building Better Opportunities project in the South Staffordshire and Stafford Local Authority areas.
The programme aims to support those furthest from the labour market in obtaining a number of employment, education and training outcomes. In delivering the programme, which runs from January 2017 to December 2019, we will be supported by 15 delivery partners, each providing specialist services which collectively provide a ‘menu’ of support opportunities for participants to achieve the kinds of outcomes outlined above.
We are looking to appoint a provider of employment support services to join the partnership delivering employment support services for blind people. The provider will need to work alongside other service delivery partners to ensure that participants are able to access the full range of support services that the partnership has to offer as well as liaising with external agencies, individuals, businesses and training providers to both generate referrals into the Building Better Opportunities project and to ensure successful employment related outcomes for participants, notably obtaining a job, moving into training or education or actively engaging in job search activities.
