Healthwatch Staffordshire Seeks Public Feedback in Review of Hospital Changes

Both patients and carers who have been affected by the change of hospital services in Staffordshire are being asked to share their experiences. This comes after facilities including surgery, paediatrics, trauma and consultant-led maternity were switched from Stafford to Stoke earlier this year after the formation of the new University Hospital of North Midlands Trust.

Healthwatch Staffordshire is now gathering feedback as part of a new survey evaluating whether the move has been successful.

“We’re also keen to capture views on associated issues such as appointments, patient records, transport and communications. We want to understand the issues people have faced as a result of the changes and this initiative will offer a picture of things that need to be addressed. Information we receive will be used to draw up a series recommendations and, hopefully, the Trust will act on them to improve how things are done in future.” – Jan Sensier, Chief Executive of Engaging Communities Staffordshire

If you have been directly affected by the changes made then please take part in the study so your feedback can be used to improve future care.

Feedback can be left HERE or by calling the Healthwatch Staffordshire team on 0800 051 8371.
