South Staffordshire Community and Voluntary Action is a local independent registered charity that exists to promote, support and encourage community and voluntary action throughout the rural district of South Staffordshire.

SSCVA has five core functions:

• Development
• Support
• Liaison
• Representation
• Partnership

SSCVA aims to:

• Increase the effectiveness of local community and voluntary organisations by providing advice, training and information.

• Encourage and provide opportunities for different sections of the community to work together and to work in partnership with other sectors.

• Provide opportunities for local groups and organisations to put forward their views on local and national policies and decisions that affect them.

• By providing additional support to groups and communities with fewer resources and less access to decision making processes.  SSCVA aims to enable such groups to participate fully in their communities.
