Catalyst

CATALYST is our new outreach development support project launched in summer 2009.

CATALYST staff provide ongoing outreach development support, advice and guidance to local voluntary and community groups throughout the rural district of South Staffordshire.  We offer support to all local groups but we are particularly targetting groups that work with children and young people and older people.

The work of CATALYST includes developing exciting and innovative ideas for community arts, environmental and/or intergenerational projects in South Staffordshire villages.  These projects aim to reduce rural isolation experienced by young and old residents and to promote community cohesion.

We can help your group with a wide range of issues, including:

  • helping to write Constitutions and policies
  • how to plan and run your group’s activities
  • training in committee roles & how to manage your Committee
  • legal and employment issues
  • benefits of quality standards and how to apply them to your group
  • funding advice and help

and many other areas.

If we cannot advise on a particular issue, we will be able to research or signpost you to someone who can.

For more information about how the CATALYST Project could help you, please telephone Ros, Sharon or Louise on: 01902 851675  or e-mail: catalyst@sscva.org.uk
